Frequently Asked Questions
Where Are You Located?
Please visit the Location Page for my address and directions. Please make an appointment before showing up. As I am NOT a business, I can only take clients by appointment.
Why Should I Bring My Computer To You?
There's a lot of competition out there. With so many computer repair shops to choose from and everyone claiming that they have the best prices and most friendly service, how do you choose? Since I don't have the overhead of a repair shop in a commercial building, I can charge MUCH less than most shops can. On top of that, I have over ten years of experience in the computer area. I've been repairing computers since I was five years old. I know what I'm doing. If I can't fix it, you don't pay! Most computer repair shops charge an expensive diagnostic fee just to see what's wrong with your computer. I've seen these diagnostic fees from $50 to $80 and they don't even cover any work that's done to your computer! I can likely fix your computer for less than the diagnostic fee of most computer repair places.
What Should I Bring With Me When I Bring My Computer In?
Unless I say otherwise, just the computer itself (the tower). Things such as monitors, printers, disks, instruction manuals, cords/cables, and peripherals (mice, keyboards, webcams, etc.) should be left at home.
I Can't Afford Any of the Computers That You Have On Your Website. Do You Have Anything Cheaper?
I very well may. I get at least half a dozen computers cycling through here each day, and I don't post every computer I have for sale on my website. Feel free to call and see what I have.
How Much Will You Give Me For A Trade-In?
This depends on the unique situation and the computer which you wish to trade for. Don't expect anywhere near how much you paid for the machine if it's more than 6 months old. Please give me a call for a custom computer value assessment.
I Want To Learn Something That's Not Listed on the Classes Page. Can You Teach It To Me?
In all likelihood, yes. I know a LOT about computers, and everything I'm capable of teaching is not listed on the classes page. Feel free to call and ask if I can teach what you want to learn.
